Well, the time is coming up for an Oppositelock meet and greet in the centre of the universe. The date I have in mind is Friday, March 15th , and that’s pretty much it so far. Was thinking of meeting up for food, a hangout, and maybe watching the Leafs lose (as is tradition). Anyone have any suggestions as to where to meet? We went to Duff’s for wings last time, and it was pretty great. I’d aim for a 6.30 or 7 p.m. meet time, since hopefully traffic might be less bad then.

Which Duffs did you go to?
Went to the Wheat Sheaf with a friend the other day and their wings are decent too.

I’ve had worse drives.
How does one get back in the USA after the meet? lol I don’t have a passport and IIRC, an IL Driver’s License does n’t meet the new ID standards.

I live in the west end. But the Duff’s on Bayview would be okay for me to get to:

7pm would be better than 6:30pm for me. I would likely park at kipling subway
It also depends on where other Oppos are coming from. I personally live west and work further west. So 7pm is the earliest time for me. Chances are I would arrive at more like 7:30pm.
Do you get people to talk to the server to be directed to the Oppo meet table?

Figured so. Apparently while you can drive to Canada with a Driver’s License, you can’t get back into the USA unless you have an Enhanced DL or some other fun docs.
Madame DeLorean and I are getting PPs anyway so we can go to figure skating events outside the US and to do some world travel .

I’m in the South Etobicoke (Kipling and Lakeshore) area.
For me, the benefit of Sloppy Joes and Southside Johnny’s
is it’s one easy/short streetcar ride for me. I could even walk there.
But since I’m not too far from the subway, even if Friday Night traffic is bad, I’ll still be able to get to a place like Duff’s on Bayview

Clayton suggested Big Rock Brewpub, which has a way better parking situation and is pretty easy to get to, from what I remember. Buses on Bayview, if memory serves correctly, are awful.

The one on 42 Liberty St. in Liberty Village?
Yeah that should be a good place as long as there isn’t a big event at the Lamport stadium nearby where the Toronto Wolfpacks play.
Looks like they’re not playing on March 15th:

Because let me tell you... for some bigger events there, the parking situation can get BAD.
